Maritima, the show for maritime professionals

December 2012 - Paris Expo - Porte de Versailles

Owned and hosted by the F.I.N. (French Nautical Industries Federation) and organised by Reed Expositions France with the support of the maritime economic news weekly 'le marin', this 2012 show marks the 7th Maritima. In economic terms the French maritime sector today is worth 35 billion euros in turnover and represents more than 300,000 jobs, Maritima is the reflection of a dynamic sector, perpetually changing on the economic, social, technological and environmental level.

The only French trade show dedicated to the entire industry, Maritima has established itself as a tremendous showcase for the maritime economy as well as French and international know-how. The show seeks to serve as a platform for exchanges between the key players in the sector from France and abroad: shipbuilding and ship repair yards, parts manufacturers, engine builders, service companies, local authorities...

Maritima presents the importance of the maritime sector for the French economy and provides the industry with some answers in the face of changes linked to the world economic (rising cost of fuel) and environmental (maritime safety, sustainable development, protection of the coastline, etc.) situation.

THE AREA DEDICATED TO THE “SEA AND REGIONS”

This year Maritima is again honouring the coastal regions and manufacturers of the industry to offer professionals a place for business meetings: the “Sea and Regions” area. - Give the regions the opportunity to present their maritime policy.
